Sorry for my extended absence and the long wait since my last post. I am still in the process of moving to Johannesburg South Africa but I find my self at a point where I can’t do much other than relax and figured now was time to put up another post.
These are photos from my week-long trip to Belgrade Serbia. Some of these were taken as I wandered the streets alone and some were taken with my friend Abdul as we wandered the streets together.
I travelled to Croatia recently, and visited Zagreb. I enjoyed seeing the “Fisherman strangling snake”. I showed the photo to friends. However, my sister took offence to it saying something about it looking satanic. I don’t agree. I found it beautiful and amusing. I know there were at least 2 made, due to fact that they thought ship carrying it had sunk. However, can you tell me if Roksandic had a story behind it, please.

Hello Cheryl,
Unfortunately I can not offer any more information on the piece or it’s story. I actually had some difficulty identifying the statue with my Google searches and posted about all the information I could find.
