As I entered one of the many Pagodas around Bagan I noticed that this one had no source of light other than through the entrance. The light entering the pagoda perfectly framed the the statue of Buddha sitting in the Calling the Earth to Witness (or Subduing Mara) pose. The halo of light surrounding the statue made me think of the enlightenment that Buddha brought into an otherwise dark world.
